The RAEX project is proud to launch a new initiative: a video series focused on technical development, created in collaboration with experienced coaches from our network. Welcome to Rowing Coach Insights — a space dedicated to exploring key aspects of rowing technique, explained by those who live and breathe the sport.

In this first episode, we feature Boris Turnsek, rower and coach at the Malmö Rowing Club, and an active participant in the RAEX project. Boris walks us through a crucial yet often overlooked element of the stroke: hip and pelvic movement.

With a clear and practical approach, the video highlights why mobility in the pelvic area is essential, how it connects to the kinetic chain during the drive, and how better control of this area can lead to smoother, more powerful, and more efficient rowing. The content is designed not only to correct technical issues but also to support and enhance the work we are doing together across the RAEX clubs.

💬 We encourage all of you to watch carefully and share your thoughts, questions, or reflections in our group. This is a shared learning space — one stroke at a time, we grow together.
