On Saturday, May 18th, the Limassol Nautical Club once again became a space for transformation β not only in body and skill, but in mindset and culture. This time, it was the turn of RAEX, a groundbreaking European initiative thatβs redefining the way we approach sport: not as a divide between genders, but as a platform for unity, collaboration, and shared growth.
Under the clear skies and with the serene Limassol sea stretching out before them, men and women of all ages and backgrounds came together to row side by side. This wasn’t just about physical training β it was about breaking norms and showing that sporting ability is not defined by gender, but shaped by dedication, respect, and teamwork.
From warm-up drills on land to powerful strokes on the water, participants trained in mixed-gender (COED) crews, learning to move as one. The sessions highlighted what RAEX stands for: when athletes support each other as equals, everyone benefits β technique sharpens, confidence builds, and barriers fall.
Thanks to the guidance of experienced coaches and the support of one another, the energy was electric. Laughter, focus, encouragement, and new bonds flowed as freely as the water beneath their boats.
RAEX is more than a program β itβs a movement. And on this day in Limassol, that movement was alive, strong, and surging forward.
π¬ βTogether, we row not as men or women, but as teammates. Thatβs the future of sport.β
