Malmö, December 17, 2024

Today marked a significant milestone at Malmö Rowing Club as we held our first club-wide meeting for the RAEX (Rowing Against Exclusion) project. A total of 19 members joined us, including 8 women and 11 men, to kick off this exciting initiative.

The meeting was an incredible opportunity for our members to connect, collaborate, and lay the foundation for the RAEX project. We discussed the core values, timeline, and structure of the training programs, and began organizing our training groups.

During the meeting, participants engaged in meaningful discussions within their training groups, where they shared their individual and collective goals, preferred training methods, and ideal session times. Together, we explored the key elements that foster unity, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose within the crews, groups, and the RAEX project as a whole.

What a productive evening and what an inspiring project to be a part of! This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to see the passion and enthusiasm from our members as we work towards creating a more inclusive and accessible rowing community.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue the RAEX journey!
