After months of collaborating online β€” through Zoom calls, chats, and shared documents β€” the RAEX team finally came together in person for the first time! And what better place to meet than the breathtaking town of Maiori, on Italy’s Amalfi Coast?

This gathering marked an important milestone for our project, not just as a formal meeting, but as a celebration of teamwork, inclusion, and shared vision. It was a chance to put faces to names, exchange insights, and deepen the bonds that connect our clubs across Europe.

πŸ’¬ We discussed the core of RAEX – Rowing Against Exclusion:

  • Implementing CoED (CO-EDucation) training
  • Expanding local outreach and engagement
  • And recognizing the impact we’ve already made in our first year

πŸ” What did we do?
πŸ“Š We analyzed the first round of data collected through our questionnaires
πŸ“ We aligned on upcoming goals, tasks, and timelines
🀝 Most importantly, we strengthened connections between people, clubs, and countries β€” because rowing together is at the heart of everything we do

πŸŽ–οΈ Special Guests & Highlights
We were proud to welcome some amazing names from the world of elite Italian rowing:

  • Francesco Noio, legendary national team coach and supporter of our project vision
  • Antonella Corazza, Olympic rower and fierce advocate of inclusion through The Same Boat initiative
  • Athletes from all over Italy, united in one purpose: to row together and promote European values of inclusion and well-being

A huge thank you also to Annalisa Acquistapace, who led us through a beach stretching session that was both energizing and deeply relaxing β€” perfect for starting the day on the right foot! πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈπŸŒ…

πŸ’œ More Than a Meeting
This wasn’t just a meeting β€” it was:

✨ An open day for ideas and connections
✨ A training lab for inclusion in sport
✨ A celebration of everything RAEX stands for: diversity, collaboration, empowerment, and change

We left Maiori feeling inspired, connected, and motivated to continue rowing forward β€” not just as clubs or individuals, but as one united team.

🌍 Thank You
To everyone who joined us, collaborated, shared, listened, rowed, stretched, laughed, and dreamed β€” thank you. Your energy fuels this project.

We can’t wait to see you at the next one to Limassol!

β€”
The RAEX Team
Together, we row against exclusion.
